My name is Jay Reeves I have been a Personal Trainer for 30 years with all ages. My kind of strength training is based off the old school fundamentals of Westside Barbell training and Arnold Swartznegger. This is what kind of training worked for me when I was powerlifting and competiting. I have done alot of strength and conditioning with high schoolers to get them ready for sports and become the best athlete they can be in there sport. I call it a celtic warrior or the best version of there self in there sports. I have been weight training since I was 13 years after my grandpa bought me a weight lifting set. I started weight training because I was bullied real bad in high school because I had learning disabilities. Which later in life, found out I had adhd. I wanted kids to leave me alone and I wanted to become a better version of myself. Going to the gym was always a place to go to relieve stress and not have to think about kids bullying me. Weight training also helped me get stronger for sports in high school. I was in cross country, wrestling, and track and field. I also competed in powerlifting competitions after high school in bench press. I was in the 148lb class and benched 350lbs all natural. Which was almost 3X my body weight. I held 10 first place trophies in that weight class. I also for a short time owned Elite Powerlifting with my good friend Josh. We went to different gyms all over Wisconsin throwing powerlifting competitions. I still am a strict weight trainer with alot of knowledge and don't plan on giving it up.
